about

"STRANGE FORCES" is my exploration of my melancholy memory of the Summer Of Love upon the occasion of its tenth anniversary in 1977.

Synthesizer: Hammond 102100. Organ: Vox CONTINENTAL. Effects: Maestro ECHOPLEX, Maestro PHASE SHIFTER, Maestro RING MODULATOR.

lyrics

"STRANGE FORCES"

The level is rising,
Stairways in fields!
Automaton arrives as a comet,
Arm burnt off,
Stands erect in crater
Spewing molten apples!

Run for your sanity!
Panic in a synapse!
Real dream/reel dream…

There are strange forces at work
Making me feel like dirt!
Secure grave of travel
Consumes molten apples
With disasters running through the crowd.

Forgotten bird from pharaoh’s flag
Burns the old glory rag!
Dreamers of a heaven,
Nineteen sixty-seven,
The warm summer lying like a shroud.

In my mind’s curse of
Powerful urges,
My image suffers.
